GB AND SMITH provides user-friendly powerful tools and has comprehensive knowledge and expertise on how to facilitate Business Objects Security Management as well as license compliance. GB AND SMITH was founded by Sébastien Goiffon and Alexandre Biegala.

Sébastien, a graduate of Centrale Marseille, has been working with Business Objects for the last 12 years. Sébastien has always worked around Business Objects security management and implementation. Based on his field experience, he has developed a toolset called 360View providing customers a 360 degrees view of their BO 5 or 6 deployed security. Sébastien quickly understood that Security will be the major issue of the Xi migrations. That’s why he has modified 360View allowing customers to manage, audit and document the Xi security. Sébastien is also involved in communities such as BOB, GBN and others. He has presented new Xi security concepts to many different BO user groups and conferences (Paris, Sydney, New York, Dallas, London, Nashville, Madison ...)

Alexandre, a graduate of Centrale Lille, IG2I - Institute of Computer Technology and Industrial Engineering, has been working with Business Objects for the last 5 years. Based on his field experience he has developed a toolset helping customers to manage their Xi Security without the CMC. Alexandre rapidly understood that he could provide a User-friendly Software to facilitate Xi Release 2 Security management: Security Matrices implementation, predefined Security Profiles usage, automatic Xi Security Matrices generation in Excel: The Software all Business Objects customers are waiting for!

Based on their field experience, solutions, concepts Sébastien and Alexandre decided to join together and found the GB AND SMITH company. Their aim is to provide Business Objects customers, all around the world with solutions allowing them to facilitate Security administration, to keep their Security under control and document their deployed Security. They regrouped their technologies and features within the Software 360View Release 2. This Software provides a User-friendly Web-based interface to manage Xi r2 Security, to audit and document deployed Security.

They then developped scheduling and license compliance software.
